Feels like a squishmallow. We love it. ❤️Purchased for my niece and she absolutely loves it.I I was expecting it to be a little bigger but it has good qualityPerfect size for an Easter basket. It was squishable and loved.Nice size. Oxide now has only one eye. ( one cracked.I bought this as a birthday gift.A 7 year old girl told my daughter she wanted an axolotl for her birthday. I told my daughter we couldn’t get her a pet and that even if we could, real axolotls are expensive.So, I took a chance and decided to see if there were toy axolotls. I got the smaller size but it was still big enough to be impressive.It is very fluffy and very soft. It was adorable!Both of my children now want one for Christmas.I will definitely be purchasing again.The eyes are scratchy and hurt if you accidently get hit my them but other than that it was a winner of a gift lol. Build-a-bear is the only other place that IK of that does okay looking stuffed axolotols that I could find.Bigger and softer than I thought it would be, it’s my daughters new favorite plush!My daughter is into axolotls lately, and since the real pet is too high maintenance, I bought this one instead. It was a hit. My only hangup is the eyes, I wish they were more like button eyes because the eyes are not thoroughly glued to the stuffed toy. So there are times when you hug the toy, the edges of the eyes have gaps, and even though the edges are curved, it is still sharp. I asked my daughter if she wanted me to put additional textile glue to the eyes (to stick flush on the skin of the axolotl toy), but she refused and said she is happy with it as it is.
